DIRECTIONS TO PUTSBOROUGH MANOR COTTAGES
Please note that your car’s satellite navigation will take you to Putsborough beach and not to Putsborough Manor. Sometimes it might take you through lots of lanes via Georgeham which is NOT the most direct route.
This the recommended and most direct route from Barnstaple.
From M5 J27 take A361 towards Barnstaple.
At the traffic island on the outskirts of Barnstaple take the 1st exit signposted towards Ilfracombe/ Braunton/Croyde.
Go straight over the next island and then at the following island take the 2nd exit. Go straight on over the bridge towards Braunton (A361).
Once in Braunton take the left hand turn signed Croyde and Saunton (B3231) at the traffic lights.
Follow this road past Saunton Sands Hotel and round the headland into Croyde.
Pass The Thatch Pub on the left and take the next left onto Jones’s Hill sign posted Putsborough.
Follow this lane for 1 mile; at the junction turn right signed Putsborough (not towards the beach). Drive downhill and turn 1st left before the ford down the private road, you will find parking areas outside your cottage (for The Barn see the map on page 3).
Using What Three Words our locations are, if you use the navigate option choose the easiest and best route via Croyde and NOT Georgeham (as this takes you down lots of single lanes):
